Users
The ONP user community broadly falls into two categories: local / regional users and European-level users. Local / regional users generally require advanced high-resolution mapping tools to support more rapid mapping across a larger area than is possible with field teams alone. European-level users have a high interest in aggregated statistics and biodiversity trends across Europe. The ONP approach was primarily to address the former community. Over the project life, European-level aspects thuch as harmonisation efforts have been added.
